After 10 years of classical viola in music school (orchestra, chamber music, concerts and tours), Benjamin turned definitively to the guitar at the age of 18. He spent a few years as an autodidact, taking an interest in the rock repertoire, then followed the jazz course at the Regional Conservatory of Cergy Pontoise with Jean-Luc Fillon and Laurent Colombani, conducting parallel studies in musicology at the Sorbonne which led him to master's degree (jazz option) under the direction of Alain Cugny.

His activity as a musician developed during this same period, leading him to play, record and compose, notably within the group Monsieur Jacquet, with masters of the gypsy jazz style such as Tchavolo Schmitt or Florin Niculescu. 
Benjamin takes part in many musical projects in various styles, swing (Monsieur Jacquet, Swing Vibrations), rock, (Solar Parachute, Venyce, Balinger..), young audiences/family (Rit Qui Qui) and is led to travel in the world, play in many festivals and collaborate with many musicians on the jazz scene as a leader, active member or accompanist, on guitar but also on bass. He is also a demonstrator for Castelluccia guitars.

Benjamin composes for several of his different projects, sound design (Tele Music, Encore Merci) as well as for commissions (Ministry of Culture).
At the same time, he kept a foothold in music education with a position as a guitar teacher at the Sannois School of Music (95).
